US Electricity Prices: February 2026 Report
The short answer
The average US residential electricity rate was 17.7¢/kWh in February 2026, up 1.1% from January and up 7.4% from February 2025. North Dakota had the cheapest electricity (11.6¢) and Hawaii the most expensive (43.0¢), while California saw the biggest monthly increase (+9.7%).
